This Balmain trend has gone on for far too long now. I don't know whether it is the 80's shoulder pad nostalgia or the sudden impulse to look like a military soldier that is making everyone go crazy for these exaggerated clothing shapes. Perhaps what it even more ridiculous with Victoria Beckham's outfit is her extremely over-sized Birkin bag, as if this purse will somehow balance out the buffoonness of her shoulders.
And to top it off, quite literally, she wears a newsboy cap, just in case you didn't quite catch the fact that she wants you to take her seriously as a newly enlisted military soldier preparing for war on the battlefield. Her leather will be her armor, and PETA will come after her with red paint.
